ORIENTATION MEETING-  The orientation meeting is set for Saturday, March 30th at Fox Hollow Golf Course Banquet Hall.  The Hall is located 5 miles south of the speedway on Cty. Hwy. M (turn right at stop sign...it is a ¼

TIRES-  The track tire for the late models will be the Hoosier 1070.  Sportsman cars will be on the same tire as last year.

TIRES 2 - We have had a great number of comments regarding the late model American Racer tires in your inventory.....to let them run or not to let them run.  Please call the speedway with your constructive comments on what you would like to see happen. Plus,  we are considering a rule that teams must run the same tires they qualify on in the feature.

TIRES 3-  Sadly,  Getzloff tire sales will likely be no longer selling the tires at the speedway.  Coulee Tire is now the new tire sales company.  All tires must be paid for at time of purchase.  Hoosiers are $105.00 (tax included).  Sportsman (American Racer) tires are the same price as last year.  All late models teams can purchase practice tires .  They should be
in stock by March 15th.   The annual pre-season tire sale is tentatively Friday evening, March 22nd.  Both Late Model and Sportsman "regular season" tires can be purchased at that time.

TIRE MACHINES-  We are looking to purchase some tire machines.  Call the speedway if you know of any for sale or trade.

AUTOGRAPHS-   We would like to do the autograph sessions again in 2002.  If you have any feedback please call the speedway and let us know.  In addition,  each race night we will bring four or five youngsters down to shake hands with the dice rollers and last week's feature winners.

GET WELL - Track Announcer Kieran "Crutches" Clark recently underwent another foot surgery.  Good luck to "Crutches" for a speedy recovery.

PIT PASS PRICES-   The cost of a Weekly Racing Series pit pass will be $17.00 for members and $25.00 for non members.  Season Pit Passes will be $310.00, and are available at the orientation meetings.

HOOSIER-   Hoosier Racing Tire representatives will be at the orientation meeting to talk with the teams about mounting and racing their tires.  Have your questions ready!

RULE BOOK CORRECTION-  Regarding the Sportsman,  there is no penalty for aluminum radiators and after market starters are being considered.  Tim will address you at orientation meeting regarding these issues ONLY.

CRATE MOTORS-  We are considering allowing a crate motor to be used by ONE team in both the Sportsman and Late Model ranks for the 2002 season.  We can fax you the description of both motors.  Your comments are welcome.   The Sportsman motor will cost $3000.  The late model motor will cost $4200.   Hmmmmmmm....................

POSITIONS OPEN-  We are currently taking applications and resumes' for scoring, message center, concession, and safety positions.  If you know of anyone who might be interested, please have them contact the speedway.  We are also looking for a Tire Sales Manager.  Contact the speedway if you know of anyone interested.

ADDENDUM "A"  We now have the "addendum A" form from NASCAR.  If you are under 21, you must have one with your NASCAR license.  Stop by and pick one up at the speedway or fill it out at the Orientation meeting.

NASCAR NEWS-  The Weekly Racing Series presented by Dodge will now consist of 81 tracks in eight regions. The National Champions banquet will be in Nashville again.  The National point fund has been restructured so more money is dedicated to positions 2 through 10.  They are also talking about bringing back the "Champions Week" program.  It would be run at the same time of the  Champions Banquet.

NASCAR LICENSES-  If you plan on participating in the any of the three weekly NASCAR Weekly Racing Series divisions and want to:  (a) race, (b) receive points, and (c) receive purse money, you MUST have a NASCAR license.  You WILL have to present your NASCAR license to receive the discount at the pit gate. You WILL have to present your NASCAR license at the pay out window to receive your pay.  No license...........no pay, no points, no race.

THE  "LACROSSE SPEEDWAY DRIVING EXPERIENCE"-   We attempted to get this going a couple of years ago, but did not have the time to pursue it.  We would like to make it happen for the 2002 season.  The speedway will be
looking for someone to build nine race cars (a 4-cylinder with a roll-cage, fuel cell, etc.)  for the LaCrosse Speedway Driving Experience.  Please submit a bid to construct these cars to the speedway.

LACROSSE SPEEDWAY LICENSE-  If you have sent in your membership, we will have your card at the orientation meeting.  When we receive your membership, we renew your car number.

TRACK RENTAL - The track should be available for rent in late March......depending on the weather.   Call us to set up a time.......after the snow melts!

NASCAR AWARDS -  Congratulations to Dave Noelke for winning NASCARS "Best Fan Flyer and Newsletter" Award.   Congratulations Dave on your hard work.
