Fairgrounds Speedway announced today that the 34th The two new division will be the Midwest Stock Car Classic and a open
competition ¼ mile class. The Midwest Stock Car Classic division consist of a
variety of "retired" race cars brought back to life and running a limited
schedule. The second new division is an open competition ¼ mile class. This
class is a "run what you brung" division and speedway officials have
affectionately named it - "R.A.Y.S." (Run All Your Stuff). "We expect
to see lots of great competitors and lots of great competition through out the whole
weekend. These two new divisions will add a unique twist to the great The Thursday portion of the four day weekend will see racing action starting at 7 PM. Five divisions (LaCrosse Sportsman, Thunderstox, R.A.Y.S, 4 Cylinder Enduro and Double OO) are slated for competition. The LaCrosse Sportsman and Thunderstox will finish out their regular season. The R.A.Y.S. Division will run a full program of heats and features. The infamous Double OO is an open competition event in which cars turn laps on both the ¼ mile track and 5/8th mile track. The 4 Cylinder Enduro will compete in a grueling 75 lap Enduro race. The Friday night action of the weekend will see the CWRA, Limited Late Models and Area Sportsman compete in qualifying features, last chance and feature events. The Modifieds will also be on hand, and will run a full program of heats and features. Racing action will begin at 6 PM. The Saturday program will include qualifying for the NASCAR Touring Series, Wisconsin Late Models and NASCAR Northern Series in the afternoon. Racing action will roar to life at 5 PM. The NASCAR Touring Series will run their last chance race during the Saturday night program. The Wisconsin Late Models and NASCAR Northern Series will run their qualifying feature races and the Midwest Stock Car Classics, Mid- American Cars and Mid-American Trucks will run a full program of heats and features. "Championship Sunday" will see racing action starting at NOON, and will feature the grueling last chance races for the Wisconsin Late Models and NASCAR Northern Series. The 250 lap Oktoberfest features for the NASCAR TOURING teams and a 50 lap main for both the Wisconsin Late Models and Northern Series.
