June 5,
2004; West Salem, WI - Steve Holzhausen and Charlie Menard
have added their names to the list of entrants for the June 19 NASCAR Midwest Series Kwik
Trip "Glazers" 150, to be held at the La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway.
Holzhausen and Menard figure to be busy men that evening, as they are also going to be
running their regular cars in the Kwik Trip Late Model Division as well.
Holzhausen said he is excited to race the same car he finished sixth with in last years
Oktoberfest race. "We ran good in open practice here the other day, so we are
looking forward to the race and trying to improve upon the Oktoberfest finish."
Menard, the current point leader in the Kwik Trip NASCAR Late Model Division, is
anticipating an exciting evening of racing. " I know it's going to be busy with
us racing two divisions, but I'm very excited about teaming up with Tim Schendel and
running one of his cars."
Others expected to participate include Steve Carlson, Justin Diercks, Ryan Hanson, Eddie
Hoffman, Brian Hoppe, Jon Lemke and Schendel.
This will be the first time ever that the La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway will host its
regular three divisions and a NASCAR touring division on the same night. In addition
to the Autozone NASCAR Midwes Series race, the NASCAR Kwip Trip Late Models, Ray Hutson
Chevrolet Sportsman and the United Auto Supply Thunderstox division will also be racing.
Grandstands will open at 4:00 PM, a pre-race autograph session starts at 5:45 PM, and
