LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway Race Report

Lamoreaux survives late cautions for La Crosse checkers!
By David Morgan

June 4, 2005;  West Salem, WI -  Mike Belling took the lead early, as two of the top cars had problems and headed to the pits, and Mark Lamoreaux chased Belling down, then survived two late cautions to take his first feature win of the season in the Kwik Trip NASCAR Late Model division at the La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway.
Sam Andersen took the early lead from the pole position, as J. Herbst slowed on the opening lap, causing the field to bunch on the backstretch, as the 82 car of Herbst headed to the high side of the track. Everyone managed to make it through, but one lap later, fast qualifier Andy Burgess slowed, coming to a stop on the backstretch, and bringing out the first of three cautions.
