(West Salem, WI - August 27, 2005) -  After a race-long battle for the lead, Andy Burgess took the inside groove from point leader Kevin Nuttleman coming to the white flag. As they headed into turn one, Burgess powered his car past Nuttleman and drove his Menard entry to victory in the Five Star Telecom 25. It was his fifth feature win of the year, the most of any Kwik Trip NASCAR Late Model Driver this season. Earlier in the evening, Burgess was the fastest qualifier for the 14th time this year, breaking Kevin Nuttleman’s record for the most in one season.

The race began with an accident on the first lap, involving the Dodge Truck of Andy Niles, ending a rough night for Niles. Niles wrecked his primary car in the B-Main, and then borrowed the Truck of Jim Summerfield, which he spun into the wall on the first lap of the A-Main. When the race re-started, another accident happened on the backstretch, involving seven cars. No cars suffered major damage. The race was re-started and went green until the end, involving a heated battle between the Burgess and Nuttleman cars for the lead. Margin of victory was five car-lengths.

The winner of the Five Star Telecom 15 for the Ray Hutson Chevrolet Sportsman was Jes Tenner. There was a great battle for the lead between Tenner and Trent Boettcher, as they maintained a 5 car lead over the rest of the field. Thanks to the drivers, the racing was clean and there were no accidents. Aaron Hass took the B-Main over Tony Leis. Budweiser Dash for Cash winners were Trent Boettcher and Larry Bolster Jr.

The winner of the Five Star Telecom United Auto Supply Thunderstox feature was Steve Bornitz followed by Jerry Alysworth and Ron Heller. On lap 7 Mike Kruger Jr. thrilled the fans as he went took his car for a swim in Lake Speed. Budweiser Dash for Cash winner was Justin Berg, and heat winners were Jerry Alysworth, LaVern Berg, Steve Bornitz, and Charles Vian Jr.

In the Features Sports Bar and Grill Hornet division Five Star Telecom Inc. features, winners were John Clements, Jerry Schomers, and Rick Schermerhorn.
