Bryce Sylla: Racing for a reason

May 14, 2005;  West Salem, WI - There was good intentions for a night of hard racing at the La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway, but Mother Nature had a whole different direction for those at the Pischke/Dodge Night event. Due to a steady downpour of rain officials called off the night scheduled night of racing.

The only race of the night at LaCrosse Speedway before the rain came was a
3 lap demonstration race for six year old Bryce Sylla.

Bryce was able to take a ride in Branden Berg's #35 Grand National Sportsman car. Bryce was diagnosed with Cancer when he was 18 months old. Over a dozen generous
drivers had pledged all their race winnings from tonight's events to help pay the medical bills for Bryce.

One of Bryce's dreams was to ride in a stock car and thanks to speedway drivers and staff, Bryce's wish was fulfilled.
