Haseleu Hopes to Change Luck at Fest!
By Kevin Ramsell

Wednesday, September 06, 2006 (West Salem, WI) – Nate Haseleu could be considered one of the hottest drivers in the Midwest this season. He recently won the Wisconsin Challenge Series event at the Milwaukee Mile and hopes to peak at the Oktoberfest Race Weekend.

Haseleu started off the 2006 season with a second place finish at the Spring Classic WCS feature event at the Rockford Speedway back in April. In June, he won the 5th Annual Elmer Musgrave Memorial 100 CRA Super Series event. Lately, he has won the last four WCS events including the recent Milwaukee Mile event where he also had fast time. He currently has a 16 point lead over Kenny Richards with two events remaining on the WCS schedule.

The former NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver plans to compete in the Wisconsin Late Model 100-lap feature event at 37th Annual Oktoberfest Race Weekend at the La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway. This year’s event will run from Oktober 5-8 with 15 divisions competing over 4 days.

“We have had a couple of second place runs over the years in the Wisconsin Late Models,” Haseleu recently stated. “We have never had a good run in the NASCAR Autozone Elite Division – Midwest Series, so we are going to concentrate on the Wisconsin Late Models and see if we can change our luck there.”

Haseleu’s last second place finish came in 2004 when he finished second behind Charlie Menard in the Wisconsin Late Model feature event. He scored a ninth place finish in 2005.

Haseleu cannot wait to get up to this year’s Oktoberfest. “It’s a big party, it’s great,” Haseleu exclaimed. “It’s one of the most fun races I go to all year. I like the weather that time of the year, its just a great time.”

Make your plans now to join Haseleu and rest of the over 500 racers expected along with close to 15,000 race fans. Oktoberfest Race Weekend is “Racing’s Family Reunion.”
